Sunday Pool League Meeting:

ALL POOL PLAYERS

All skill levels welcome, we have a lot of fun playing against other nearby lodges one Sunday each month.

We have a great group of players; if you like to play pool come to the meeting. You will meet the current team members and sign up to either play every other Sunday, or be available to sub for the teams and get a tentative schedule.

The Kelly Cup:

UPDATE: Dano emerges VICTORIMONIOUS in what came down to a nail-biter 5-4!

Dano actually threw a ringer in the single horseshoes throw, swished the bean bag one toss, had an excellent bocce roll, and bowled a strike in the one frame of video bowling! He then topped it all off by outsmarting Sandals in Rochambeau; going with Scissors against his Paper!! That was some flawless play by Dano - good stuff!

Sandals also played very well - wearing a cape and hat that Kimmy had made him special (in an effort to intimidate Dano) - Sandals hit the best number in the dart throw (20), had a very nice lag pitching quarters, won at pool, and in ship captain crew he qualified and got a 7 all in one roll!

Overall, it was very close - congratulations to both competitors on a well fought out match: however, July Kelly Cup bragging rights definitely belong to Dano!

Filming a movie at the lodge:

Tuesday through Friday, and then again on Monday.. The lodge will not open for business until 3:00. If they are still filming after 3:00 members will be allowed in the social quarters during filming but must be quiet when asked..

4th of July Campout:

Everyone!

4th of July weekend we are having a campout. Come on down for a great weekend of fun in the sun by the pool, and lots of food and live entertainment. The LOOM will be making dinners Friday and Saturday night and there will be a band, and also the LOOM is doing a Saturday breakfast.

The WOTM will be having a breakfast on Sunday and Kimmy and Mark are doing homemade sloppy joes and homemade potato salad for lunch, and running it through to dinner on Sunday.

So grab your motor-homes, campers, tents, or just your sleeping bags and come on down and join everyone for a blast of a weekend!

Would like to thank Duane from the Reseda Lodge for emptying all the trash cans on the grass area and the pool area, on our Memorial weekend campout. Hello Everyone,

Our summer is in full swing with many exciting things to come! Our first WOTM dinner in May was a great success.

Congratulations to Jackie and everyone who helped her on her dinner. Spunky and Roberta made an excellent dinner for our new Mexican night. We have a delicious menu planned for the Luau on July 31st, so please mark it in your calendar and come on down and have a great time. The pool and the pool area are awesome! Thanks again to Kimmy. Also I would like to give Wally a special thank you for her 50/50 collecting.

So come on down to the lodge, go to a meeting and bring your friends. Together we can be a success for our lodge and our community.

Just a little note to say thank you all, for a wonderful turnout for our Sweetheart Ball. I would like to thank all the other lodges in our District that joined us. Also thank you to all who helped out that night, it was great! Also our 4th of July campout is coming up, there will be great food and live entertainment, so don't miss this one.

A note from the Governor:

It's that time again, summer is here and the pool is open and campout weekends have started. Please, if you choose to use the pool, remember the rules that the lodge has in place, and please clean-up after yourself. If you campout, remember your neighbors, and after the campout weekend is over, you must remove all trailers and RV's or you will be subject to a $10 a day storage fee. Also remember when it's a campout weekend and the lodge is closed, this does not mean the rules do not apply. 4th of July weekend we have a campout happening, and July 2nd and 3rd we have live entertainment and dinners and breakfasts planned for most days. So come out for the fun.

I would like to welcome our new Sweetheart of the lodge Kelly O'Dell crowned on Saturday June 19th. Those of you that came out for the Sweetheart Ball, thank you, and the Surf Rockets played great as always.

Don't forget District Picnic and Breakfast this month and the Surf Rockets will be back to play for District Picnic.

This is your lodge, so come out and support it, and have a great time!!
