Good day to all, Well we made it to July,m the weather hasn't been very co-operative, I don't think it knows that summer starts in a few days. It's always nice to acknowledge those who go that little bit extra, so as to make things nice for everyone. I'm sure I will forget someone and if I do, please somebody let me know and I will correct it next month.... I would like to thank Kimmy for the terrific job on the newsletter, and what about those pork chops. Betty and Fingers on the pool area, our weekly cooks that keep our food tradition going, Jerry for the maintenance/upkeep around the lodge.. how about those planters. Rich Hodge for his work on the lodge website, more info to come, as this progresses, Thank you all. Your lodge was well represented at Reseda for the District Sweetheart Ball, Brown Sr. escorted Kimmy in, as the new Sweetheart and Dano escorted Marlene, as out going Sweetheart, they all clean up pretty nice. The new Moose International Membership Campaign poster is up, as is the quota for the LOOM. This year's quota is 41 and we already have 6 so far, as you know, we made our quota for last year. There presently exists, two opening on the LOOM Board, those brothers interested in running for either Prelate or Trustee, may submit an intent form available at the bar, to the nominating committee. Any brother in good standing with this lodge may apply. We also have nominating forms if you feel on of our brothers is worthy of the position, and with to nominate them, these are available at the bar. A quick note about Sunday hours of operation, of the social quarters, effective Sunday June 28, 2009, the social quarter's hours will be 11am to 9pm exceptions will be on camp out weekends and breakfasts. In last month's newsletter, I mentioned an idea to help stimulate our day to day operation. No date has been set for our first ever town hall meeting, the board and I are working out the details and compiling information to present to the membership. As soon as a date is confirmed, you will be advised by a direct mailer as to when and where. My apologies to those that showed up last month because of erroneous information, thank you for your enthusiasm and interest. And on a happier note, I would like to congratulate Brother Gary Brown Sr. on his nomination and appointment, to the Executive Board of the James B. West District 15 Office of Prelate. I thank you for your time, and wish everyone a very safe, and fun summer.
